  Romans 8:7 “Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.” The Mind has it’s good intentions but those intentions are purely sensual and filled with lust. It’s about Me, Myself and I. What I need and what I desire that is at the forefront of our Minds.  What I want to do! How I feel? Who I like or love? Where I want to Go! What I Need! It’s all selfish and superficial and it usually causes pain and disappointment in our lives as well as in the lives of others.  As it relates to relationships (dealing with our unconverted soul) we love based on conditions, “if you do what I say, how I like it, or if you love or like me back then we are cool, Other than that, “ I have no use for those who don’t see things my way,” better yet, “ It’s either my way or the Highway!” The Bible tells us that, “a man’s ways seem right to him, but the Lord weighs the heart.” Proverbs 21:2 This is why we need Holy Spirit to help us and ...

Day 1 of 40 Days- Transform My Thoughts!

  Philippians 2:5-8 "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and  coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of  death, even the death of the cross.” To truly Submit to the Father we must have a mind to obey no matter what it looks like, sounds like our feels like. The mind that is stable and ready to endure what ever comes, whoever/ whatever goes and you still say “Yes”. This was the mindset that the Lord Jesus had. Through the rejection, he said “yes”, through the disappointment, he said “yes”. Even when his family, friends, spiritual Sons and Daughters, Church folks turned their back on him, betrayed by those he loved, he still endured the cross and chose to carry the weight of the worlds sin upon his shoulders.
